'Kaze Wo Atsumete' Brought to you by Shields, Reitzell and Coppola

As you may have found or put together over a few visits, the blog has a very, french chic nouve sense about it. Entrenched in the dizziness of hues portrayed by Sofia Coppola through her films, writings and of course music tastes, the blog is more than a homage, but a reproduction and emulation, an appropriation and rewriting for us - a description of our involvement in her works and the artistic foray of her chosen fields. Her soundtracks become a soundtrack to my life somehow.

I revisit her works, especially Lost in Translation (2003) every so often to conjure a new personal relevence as I watch through the subtle nuance and fall into the trappings of her soundtrack that include the looseness and fluid distortion of works by Kevin Shields (of My Bloody Valentine fame, a staple in my music library) and Brian Reitzell.

For a quick taste, heres a Kevin Shields tune and a classic from Death in Vegas.
