His Name is Morrissey.

So I feel Like I've Finally Woken Up.
The weekend appears firmly in the past now, and it took some time to digest.
To digest all its goodness, well enough to recollect.

So I'll beat Ollie to the beat.

We caught 'School Of Seven Bells' on their first Australian tour at The Gaelic (we got lost trying to find it and iphone internet sux) last Thursday night. It turned out to be a musical experience for me, as it was the first time I witnessed shoegaze in a live forum. Besides the older and unenthusiastic crowd of which Ollie was about to doze off to, we were eager to leave once they finished. But that wasn't before Ollie had a quick meet n greet with the red 'Wiggle', Murray Cook (He grew up with them) who we spotted just behind us during the support acts.

Friday Night we were strewn across the internet, music and the fading city light. After a day of doing very little but walking around the city, we were undecided what to do that night. The Cross was sounding good, stop by Candy's and have a good night, stuff going around in Balmain etc. The option presented itself in heading to the Cross, too late to get into anywhere and ending up at Purple Sneakers, where the music and times were a success. Playin some of my favorites, Phoenix/La Roux, It was a long winded night by the time it got to 4:30 am. Ollie was hogging the DJ booth, conversing with the dude behind it at around that time and eventually we all ended up at PHDJ's crib.

Now this guy founded Boundary Sounds, is a Resident Purple Sneakers mojo and together with his mate is musical duo Dept. A genuine Nice Guy, we played Wii, drank, conversed, gushed over his CD collection and musical production equipment and met his dog, Morrissey. Not to mention get a lift in his "favorite place on earth", his van.

Truly a surreal night, confirmed by the fact we were greeted by the Sun when it was time to go.

Who would have known so much indecision or lack-thereof the night of, could turn into such a riotous 8 hours. Good Times.
