TVITC acquaintant, Anthony Gonzalez of M83 finally has some time off at his seaside home of Antibes, France. With no more scheduled touring after finishing a last gasp festival tour that took them from Finland, to the US and Japan, the wheels of motion that began M83's tour at the beginning of 2008 have finally braked.
It was, however, a very eventful past few months for the Anthony and the gang. During their Columbus Ohio show, the second last of their north american dates, Anthony enthusiastically called for the patrons to come up on stage with him as such the atmosphere during the set had built up to this point. For 5 minutes numerous 'kids' took up the opportunity before being suddenly banished by a "violent" security person and his aid. *Something Anthony took a zealous disliking too - "Bad vibes". Reading and watching about this kinda makes me jealous that I didn't witness this intrinsic energy first hand. The aftermath at the end of the set was captured here:
