Trucks and musos where in full swing doin their thing. We had to move around the truck to get to our spot and upon seeing the familiar backstage doors open my heart skipped abit because theres Anthony Gonzalez. M83 is deciding whether to go out or head back to the hotel. It was in this moment that i became aware that our investment had paid off - we were gonna get a meet n greet with Anthony Gonzalez - screw Nick. This guy was French, wore glasses, ssaid ssank you with his accent, he was alot shorter than us but he was an amiable and affable character from beginning to end. For me personally it was something special going up to him introducing us and seeing his reaction as we delved into conversation. We even managed a photoshoot in the only lit alcove of the alleyway. All the while Anthony was being the ultimate nice guy, posing without command and even asked us questions. The whole sensation of M83 being right there shaking our hands with conversation had us smitten with excitement the whole walk home. Our precious photos in tow.
We didn't get much sleep that night.
It was more than a well earned night out as much as it was a journey in itself.
