Cutters Records Presents: Voltage.

Joel Belgium and Dan from Cut Copy have put together some donnie darko laced disco drubs that would make the ceiling of any fine establishment stir and whirl in glee. The result of a permeating tuteldge of dancey beatniks, these two originals  just about stimulate something in the nerve endings to show us the meaning of cosmic grooves/ing, otherwise known as VOLTAGE.

Jacques Renault & "Heaven is a Dreamy Disco"

I've got a source indicating this NY native is heading down under later this month (courtesy of Future Classic) to play a few dates. A beginner in the uptake of this Justin Miller/DFA BFF, only recently through his tracks appearing and popping up all over the place (i.e. masterful mixes new and old) have I gone out and searched for a lot more of his tracks and surprise surprise, the more you learn, the more you like, while realizing that this man has a groove (what type exactly I'll have to wait to classify until I see him in the flesh). However, echoing the masterful disco oddities, balearic, early house and tad acid-funk tunes of TVITC favorite sons, Canyons - its no wonder this DFA associated link sticks out so vibrantly to me.
Its all pleasurable goodness digesting on the dance floor.
Here's the picks!

My YOUTH is on fire.

A Queenslander making alot of moves on the airwaves (funneled internet connection I possess), this guy has a plethora of rejigging edits out and about and they've just caught my attention.

Try his reworking of Ms Nicks:

Or for something alittle more in line with the cosmos, his Italo Power edit is for you!

All via the YOUTH blog, where you'll find all his latest and a generous offerings that include some fantastic mixes. Fantastic!
